ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (AS/NZS 14001:2004)

Environmental Action Plan SSG Environmental Management System follows the principles of (AS/NZS 14001:2004). The Environmental Management Action Plan was designed to monitor and control both short and long term effects of its business practices on the environment.Not only is emphasis placed on practicing environmental protection through the implementation of world’s best practice standards in service delivery, but also there is particular focus being placed upon the requirements of the State as well as the Federal Environmental Management Plan.

Through both service delivery and future strategic planning, SSG will comply with the EPA Environment Local Law. SSG takes active responsibility to continuously develop best practices in all aspects of environmental management. SSG will strive to not only meet but exceed our client’s requirements.

Through visiting client’s sites, SSG intends to contribute to a safe, cleaner and more pleasant environment by implementing quality systems based on world’s best practices in; monitoring and controlling the environmental impacts of waste management and recycling, noise pollution, greenhouse emissions, energy consumption and storm water drainage.
Regular examinations of service delivery will be executed through ongoing performance audits compared to world’s best practices, and where necessary modified through policy review and liaison with the clients representatives.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY (AS/NZS 4801:2001)

SSG operates under a comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) system that complies with Occupational Health & Safety (AS/NZS 4801:2001). This system represents a corporate commitment to safety and the well-being of our own people as well as those we work with.
The SSG OH&S system centers itself around goal setting, tracking, performance and internal auditing.

While a contract is being implemented, a new site-specific OH&S plan will be developed. This plan will be designed to dovetail into our clients OH&S Systems, OH&S procedures and policies, as well as our own OH&S system.

QUALITY ASSURANCE (AS/NZS 9001:2008)

SSG complies with ISO 9001:2000 and its requirements. This certification is applied to all SSG contracts. The system operates under a Corporate Quality System, which can undergo periodic third party audits as well as management reviews performed by our Senior Management Team.The Solutions Management Services Sites contract operates under a specific Contract Quality Plan (CQP), which is tailored to our clients’ own specifications as well as state legislations. CQPs are subject to random surveillance audits performed by our Compliance Manager.

On a regular basis SSG will review and update the CQP. This will be done to improve the performance of our management services throughout the length of the contract. Changes to the CQP will be based on feedback from clients’ representatives through their observations and recommendations during monthly client surveys and meetings.
